Elif Shafak is Turkey’s best-selling female author, translated into over 30 languages. Her TED Talk on the politics of fiction received over 600,000 hits, establishing her as an important voice in the debate on belonging, identity and gender, as played out in her novels The Bastard of Istanbul, Honour and The Forty Rules of Love. Always enigmatic and engaging, Shafak will discuss storytelling and its power to build bridges between communities, families and individuals.
