Bee keepers, reading groups, choirs, WIs, knitting circles, flash-mobbers, Young Farmers and historical re-enactors – all these groups have one thing in common: they have experienced a nationwide surge in the 21st century and hardly anyone knows about it. Henry Hemming travelled the country discovering the many benefits of groups to both the individual and society. He tells the story in Together: How Small Groups Achieve Big Things. Rumours that Henry’s talk will be accompanied by a visit from local group. Stoke Knittington are unconfirmed.
