Comedian, actor and co-creator of the internationally-acclaimed Catastrophe, Rob joins us to talk about his deeply moving memoir A Heart That Works. In 2018, Rob and his family had their worlds turned upside down when their little son Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The book is a deeply intimate and, against the odds, sometimes fiercely funny exploration of what happened during the next two years. Amidst hospital life, surgeries, chemotherapy and a community of carers, Rob and his family learnt the very starkest lessons about life, love and the sweet joys of the little moments. It is life affirming, angry, heartbreaking, hilarious and a very compelling reminder that life – and love – is precious.
