Iain Sinclair is the author of Downriver (winner of the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and the Encore Award); Landor’s Tower; White Chappell; Scarlet Tracings; Lights Out for the Territory; Lud Heat; Rodinsky’s Room (with Rachel Lichtenstein); Radon Daughters; London Orbital and Dining on Stones. He is also the editor of the anthology London: City of Disappearances.

Hackney, That Rose-Red Empire is his personal record of the area of North-East London where he has lived for forty years. His most recent book, Ghost Milk: Calling Time on the Grand Project, starts out from the East London Olympic site on the trail of the modern ruins created by our recent Grand Projects.
